The Biblical Way to Build the Church
The call of every Christian is to be a Discipler to others.

A Discipler has three jobs.

1. Teaching: A discipler takes what they know (no matter how much that is) and teaches others, sharing experiences and testimonies to help them grow.

2. Accountability: A discipler holds their disciples to the standards of godly living, exposes problems in their lifestyle, and helps them fight sin.

3. Reproduction: A discipler's goal is to reproduce strong, scriptural, accountable believers, who will be able and willing to disciple others in the same way.

TuTim Teams
The Tool for Discipleship

A TuTim Team (Discipleship Group) is created when one person (discipler) leads 2-4 others (disciples) in a discipleship journey. By having more than one student, the discipleship process has built-in accountability and is naturally reproductive.

Those who long to lead others can easily begin by starting a TuTim Team with people around them that need to grow.

Those who desire to grow can easily begin by asking someone to disciple them in a TuTim Team.

I want to be Discipled I want to lead a TuTim Team

TUTIMTUTU has 3 distinct parts:

“You have heard me proclaim things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach (commit) these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on (replicate) to others.”

2 Timothy 2:2 NLT

Avalon feels Core Christian Development is paramount, Evangelism is commanded,  Worship is owed to Our Lord, and functional Biblical knowledge should be kept among these important functions of Church as well. Personal Discipleship is the vehicle we use to deploy each of these purposes.

Every believer should be a "Kingdom Person" with the purposes of the Church fully operational at all times. TUTIMTUTU instructs and guides us in these processes. Disciple Making, either in peer-to-peer groups, 1-on-1 Discipleship, or 1-to(2-4) D-Groups, is our Primary method of engagement of these principles.

“You have heard me PROCLAIM things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now COMMIT these truths to other trustworthy people who will REPLICATE.”

2 Timothy 2:2 NLT

1. Proclamation (Witnessing/Preaching/Teaching):

Our faith ought to be lived out like every day is our Independence Day (independence from sin; deep dependence upon our Savior).

“Set this year apart as holy, a time to proclaim freedom throughout the land for all who live there. It will be a jubilee year for you, when each of you may return to the land that belonged to your ancestors and return to your own clan.”

Leviticus 25:10 NLT

“We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.” (“He existed in the beginning with God.” John 1:2 NLT)
